What I have learnt from Salsa #1

There is a reason why salsa is a partner dance.

Regardless of whether it is for performance or social dancing, the enjoyment and connection of both partners are of the utmost importance.

Since the man is the leader, he tends to be the one that decides the moves to be used in the dance. Therefore, it is very important for him to be able to also create opportunities for the lady to style and not just be a "blind follower". Lady styling is very critical as her chance to express herself for that dance or in reaction to the moves the leader has chosen.
